Lane County Commissioners name Farr and Bozievich as chair, vice chair

EUGENE, Ore. – The Lane County Board of Commissioners named Pat Farr as chair and Jay Bozievich as vice chair Tuesday.

The commissioners appointed the two positions in the opening minutes of its first meeting of 2017.

“I am honored to serve our community as chair in 2017,” Farr said. “We are doing great work as a County and as a partner in our community. I am especially excited to help lead our efforts to create 600 supportive housing units to help get families and children off the streets over the next four years.”

“I appreciate the opportunity to serve as vice chair in 2017,” Bozievich said. “As Commissioner Stewart noted during his State of the County Address yesterday, we have a lot of exciting work before us and I look forward to providing leadership on behalf of our Board and community this year.”

The commissioners also recognized Faye Stewart for his leadership as chair during 2016.
